Okay it's starting to get to me. Baggy eyes are helped a little bit by coffee served in tiffany and co coffee cups at the Breakfast at Tiffany's launch this morning (!!!). It's also shocked into reawakening by shots of neon brights, flaring up at everywhere from the incredible collection by Magdalena Velevska to my favourite Gary Bigeni and then the phenomenal collection by Camilla and Marc, ending day three with a bang at the State Theatre. Today it was all about the show. Runways that snaked in an out like a maze, forcing the models to trek down a super long catwalk. Flashing lights and amazing set decorations. candles lining the front row and the transformation of a theatre into a living catwalk. I'm starting to feel the fashion week exhaustion (and some editors do this for 4 weeks in a row!) but at the same time, it's so invigorating to be a part of it all. Just the thought of the next show is enough to get me going again.
one. who could say no to coffee in such a beautiful cup?
two. relaxed crochet maxis at Talulah.
three. the shoes at magdalena velevska were part Reed Krakoff, part Celine, all amazing.
four. plisse pleats and bright, bright pink at madgalena velevska, one of the surprise stand out shows of the day mixing sharp cuts with neon brights for a christopher kane-esque city slick look.
five. minimalism done in an ethereal way at Michael Lo Sordo, another fantastic show.
six. Gary Bigeni tries his hand at stripes (and sexy secretary) and succeeds fantastically at both.
seven. terrible, terrible shot but my god this coat is beautiful. neon pink brocade sleeves on a peplum-ed body, Camilla and Marc, what a winner.
