I went to a wedding yesterday, and it was joyful, and happy, and loud, and lovely and there wasn't a cloud in sight, which is how weddings ought to be, right? As we sidled on out at the end of the night we were handed a bunch of flowers - incredible, overblown, blooming big things wrapped in brown paper and tied up with string. These flowers had been everywhere; propped up in incredible urns, hanging from circular wreaths throughout the venue, bunched together on small tables outside, in a wonderful trailing bouquet that the beautiful bride held in her hands. It was the perfect present to remember the night by. If a wedding ought to have blue skies then love ought to have the biggest, most blossomed flowers in the world. That is beauty at its ripest, most lush stage. When you open and offer yourself to someone else. That is love. That is weddings. And this is the most heart-warmingly beautiful bunch of flowers.
