My friend just came back from Japan and she bought me this beautiful Lavender and Apricot jam from the Rose Bakery and so we had afternoon tea to celebrate. It was pretty great, especially with miniature scones (we ran out of flour), and last-minute treats scoured from the depths of our refrigerator, including an enormous, generous heaping of ripe raspberries. The first thing on my to-do list at the moment is to buy a big loaf of Sonoma miche or some kind of tasty bread like the olive loaf from Bourke St Bakery, toast that bad boy up, spread a heap of butter and a generous bit of this jam and have proper tea and toast to celebrate the fact that winter is coming.
