one. my mates Peony, Pete and Candice, ever the glamorous lot, two. the calm before the storm, three. the plaza, four. a cute girl who had come all the way from Sweden to soak up that addictive atmosphere, five. 3.1 Phillip Lim 31 hour tote bags, six. Celine, what else? seven. Karen Walker's punchy finale, eight. beautiful structured dresses at NOMIA's debut presentation, nine. the most surreal moment of the entire week. I'm never going to throw out this show list and invitation.

Nothing I write could sum up any better than this what it's really like to be at New York Fashion Week. Why do I even try? What a week. What. A. Week.

last night

It's my last night in New York city and I couldn't think of a better place to spend it. A great friend and me are bunkering down for a night at the Lafayette House after a full day together eating and drinking and walking and seeing. There'll be plenty more on that later don't worry, but for now we're just happy to lay back and listen to songs from The Dreamers soundtrack and watch the fire blaze contentedly away. This hotel is so perfect it is almost incredible. It feels like home. I don't think I ever want to leave.
