I'm having lots of trouble with my christmas wishlist this year. I don't think it's because there's nothing i want, no, on the contrary there are a great many things that i want. I don't know, i just think i'm finding it hard to make a realistic list of things that my family can get me. Usually it's easy, but this year... not so much.
Anyway, i've compiled two lists, one for my dreams, and one for reality.
REALITY
- influence by mary-kate and ashley olsen
- a subscription to Vogue UK
- a bottle of Prada eau de parfum
- a nice box of chocolates with the different flavours etc. (i just love the thrill of a chocolate box filled with different types)
- hair extensions (i'm too impatient to wait for it to grow!) no picture of that though.
- charms for my charm bracelet.
- a set of champagne saucers (think marie antoinette and brideshead) not glasses. no picture of these either... damn polyvore hahaha.
no clothes... well, that's because i can't ever really get anyone to buy clothes for me unless i tell them exactly what i want. it's difficult, but i have really strict and clear-cut taste that is hard to stick to. and it's also my birthday coming up, which means more presents and fun times haha. i'm so excited. it's exactly 3 weeks today. I know i'm getting the miu miu sandals, and i think i'm also getting a chanel watch we found in a garage sale, bought for like $50 and then got authenticated. it was incredible good luck. Other than that, i don't know... knowing my mum i'll probably get a tea pot or something, but that would be lovely.
however, on my dream christmas list there is lots of lovely lovely expensive unattainable things: (left to right, top to bottom)
1. nina ricci cardigan. so thick and cozy-looking! and i want to own at something that olivier at least thought of... once.
2. alaia corset belt.
3. 3.1 phillip lim fur-collared parka. OMG. this coat needs to GET INTO MY LIFE RIGHT NOW. so beautiful.
4. chanel 2.55. needs no reason, you all know why.
5. sonia rykiel shoes.
6. alexander wang skirt. just love it, enough rock to give my wardrobe a bit of edge.
7. pierre hardy for gap ankle boots.... mmmmmmm the perfect boots. seriously.
then i realised that i had no tops or anything on that list, so i made another haha.
1. burberry scarf. love at first sight when it was in the window of the store earlier this year. it looked amazing on. sigh. and $600 too.
2. rick owens leather jacket... butter condensed into clothing form.
3. vanessa bruno top.
4. vintage sunglasses. they are just such fun, and i need a new pair. maybe in tortoiseshell or black though. :D
5. french sole sandals.
6 and 7. rings eclectic rings. very fun, very chic, very cool.
8. doc martens. i've decided that they are going to be my 'flat' ankle boots for when i travel.

and don't you just love christmas?
i know it's dreadfully un-environmentally conscious, but i love that bit after everyone has unwrapped their presents and the floor is covered in wrapping paper. that is just lovely, i think.
