mmmm... thin on the ground this week. very thin on the ground. i mean, there's no alexa chung to be seen! Ah well, i suppose it's kind of cold in london, which would scare people away from going out. But then, dressing up in the winter is so much fun! there's cute coats and scarves and gloves and hats to be worn, accessorizing was never better! Still, only three lonely starlets this week. Last week was so large though, it must make up for it.
Clemence Poesy
Perhaps i'm a little influenced by the fact that this outfit was what she wore to the extravaganza that was the chanel pre-fall showing in paris this week. beautiful clothes, of course, on the runway, but more importantly i am sure there were beautiful clothes in the front row, as ms poesy shows. The spearhead of chic and simple, clemence is innately stylish and has an eye for pairing separates together in very quirky but cool ways. I love her blazer here, and the cute floaty and girly dress, although i don't like how the black tights clash, i still think the look altogether is very nice.
Anne Hathaway
it's been thin on the ground, so i'm including anne even though i don't like the shoes, bag or the jewellery. but i looooooove the dress. I would like it in different colours, like maybe black and raspberry, but i don't care that tan and white are weird together, i think this dress is just fabulous. The ruffle/tiers are very cool, i like the origami pleats at the neckline, and i love how it sort of flares out in the shape of the ruffles and then the pencil skirt with a twist (those damn tiers again!) comes into play underneath the blouse. I'm a sucker for party dresses with a twist, and this one has twists in spades.
Zooey Deschanel
The dress is gorgeous, but there's not much more i can say about it that wasn't said in anne's section. it's ruffle-tastic, as the saying goes, and she looks mighty swell in it. Ruffles are just exploding at the moment, if you don't mind me saying, and they're definitely on my list of things to buy/love from afar this christmas. And don't you think, with her little up do and cute heels she looks cute? She does cute well, doesn't she? She's got that cute little face. haha. And i love her coat. that princess, smock kind of cut is just lovely.
