Covering for you II
Gemma Ward is one of my favourite models of all time. Her babyface features, at once innocent and sultry (lolita??), her long long legs, her golden hair... She was an excellent clothes horse, she wore them well, and was sweet, charming and graceful to boot. I have loved many of her covers. There was a controversial Vogue Paris cover which saw her half dressed in the window of a parisian apartment, there was a classic and beautifully photographed Demarchelier Vogue Australia cover for her special guest edited issue. And then there is this... Gemma Ward by Testino for Vogue Italia. Vogue Italia is a great magazine, akin to Vogue Paris, i don't buy it because it costs about $30 to get recent, and about $20 to get january's copy. We are that far behind. But i love seeing the editorials on the internet and feating my eyes on the content which is sometimes beautiful, sometimes crazy, sometimes ugly, sometimes mind-blowing, but never boring. Anyway, this is Gemma Ward's 2005 Vogue Italia cover. Turn up the heat!
