rip it up

Alexa Chung has been ripping it up this week! her sartorial choices have been spot on, and really inspirational, and i think we are seeing a return to classic chungster of old. (let's all just forget that brief period where she wore that chanel outfit, or her disastrous trend-tastic festival outfits that combined stripes, knee socks, high waisted shorts, trilby, leather jacket and wellingtons... bleurgh!)

This week saw alexa step out in  a beautiful coat from whistles, very wartime 1940s in its colour (an army green) and style, with a simple LBD by charles anastase as well as cute sheer tights with hearts/spots and trusty loafers. I loved the dimension that the sheer tights added ot the outfit, making the nice, but plain LBD look a whole lot cooler. Her second outfit of the week was at the private viewing of MK and A's Elizabeth and James line with Henry Holland and Pixie GEldof. It was a vintage/thrift looking jumper with bead embellishments tucked into a skirt with the dries van noten sandals that i LOVE and ankle socks. I really love both looks, and following the jumper as a top outfit i even wore a burgundy jumper of my own as a top with a skirt.. a big hit.

Nicely done Alexa, bring on plenty more beautiful outfits in weeks to come!
