I don't know why it should have struck me particularly now, of all days, but we are so small, so insignificant. We pass through and the world rolls on and on and on. Seeing these photos did it - they seem to extend out of the frame and continue, like their subjects, like life, like it all, forever and evermore and until the end. so much water and sky and rough earth and tall buildings. So much of everything. Too much to even capture in a picture, something is always left out. To leave a mark is enough, i think.
