It seems like Alexa wasn't the only one who was absolutely killing it at the Chanel Soho opening this week. Diane Kruger (forever known to me as the face that launched a thousand ships), was kitted out in Chanel Haute Couture as well, but this time a thousand miles away from Alexa's backless, glittering confetti. Diane's is a softer, watercolour confection of mingling ruffles and tiers. The black panels under the bust look like a corset from afar, but are actually part of the dress, and form this very interesting deconstructed french maid kind of look. Diane is one of the girls who really does no wrong for me. Even when she's wrong, she's right, because she is ahead of the fashion curve, taking beautiful risks (whenever Diane "goes left field" it's always in designers like Jason Wu, Valentino, Calvin Klein and Chanel HC, so, there's not that much that can go wrong, honestly) and amping up the glamour factor to 110%. A red carpet isn't complete without her.
